In time, there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind about global warming and climate change. Or will there? The problem has to do with ones frame of reference. I am 60 years old and during those years I have spent my professional career at sea or at least in the out-of-doors and very sensitive to the weather. Someone who is only 25 and works in an office has an entirely different frame of reference. S/he has relatively little experience with what the earth’s climate used to be like. And that is a very big part of our problem. The people who are preparing themselves to inherit the planet earth have little idea about the degree of change, and the rate of change, our planet is experiencing. And these are the people we need to take action now. This dilemma is one of the main reasons the EARTH-SHIP program was designed. Our goal will be to unite young people from around the world in order to impress upon them how much our world has changed, how fast it has changed, and what this will mean for their lives. By doing this it is hoped that mankind can begin to control the CO2 emissions that are at the root cause of global warming and climate change. Come on young people, look around you. We all need to do our part to help stop global warming before it gets out of hand. Do your part. Join the EARTH-SHIP movement.
